Birnbaum & Remm Set the Stage with Tenjune

Mark Birnbaum and his EMM Group partner Eugene Remm met after throwing rival birthday parties in 2006. The concept of Tenjune came rather quickly given their immense experience in the hospitality industry and their shared June 10th birthdays.

Tenjune was the first venue opened by EMM Group and was an instant success for Birnbaum and Remm. The duo brought together their innovative, industry-changing ideas, sophisticated concepts and years of industry knowledge and experience to create Tenjune. EMM Group’s flagship nightclub set the bar for service, entertainment and overall ambiance in New York City.

To keep up with the ever-changing industry in New York, Mark Birnbaum and Eugene Remm gave Tenjune a makeover last year. The renewed look appealed to New Yorkers and club-goers right away. As always, EMM Group found unique décor to set their venue apart from the rest. Tenjune features a prominent, shattered wood tunnel, leading to a stairway that descends into a chic nightclub below street level, encompassed by a new light system that surely sets the tone for an unforgettable night out. Another focal point of the nightclub is the unique horseshoe-shaped dance floor. Mark Birnbaum and Eugene Remm captivate an array of crowds within one space by creating an intimate lounge decked in marble, within a trendy, energy-infused nightclub.

Tenjune simply set the stage for nightlife in New York City. Since 2006, EMM Group has continued to branch out with more restaurants, clubs and even a lifestyle management company. Tenjune paved the way for Mark Birnbaum and Eugene Remm in a highly competitive industry and made it known that they are a powerful force in the hospitality industry. Birnbaum and Remm, and their newest EMM Group partner, Michael Hirtenstein, have been named the “Kings of New York” by Forbes Magazine, quite a prestigious honor.
